Former Ocean Springs high school football star Bray Hubbard set to make first career start at Alabama
Two time Mr. Football and former four-star ocean springs high school football star Bray Hubbard has made a name for himself within the Alabama football program and fan base.
Sources tell News 25 that Hubbard will be getting his first career start for the crimson tide this Saturday against Missouri.
In Alabama’s loss to Tennessee, Hubbard played 51 snaps, including the entire second half. He finished second in total tackles with nine.
After the game co-defensive coordinator Kane Wommack spoke about Hubbard and his ability to stay ready for any given moment.
“I think there is always a next man up mentality,” Kane Wommack said. “Those guys have to be ready at a moments notice. You talk about those things and you have a sense of urgency in practice. Bray Hubbard was a perfect example of that. Goes about his business, workman like every single day and really prepares with an expectation that he is going to go in and he produced at a really high level.”
The 15th ranked Crimson Tide will take on the 21st ranked Missouri Tigers on Saturday at 2:30.
