Ocean Springs quarterback Bray Hubbard has been named Mississippi’s class 6A Mr. Football for the 2021 season by a statewide committee of high school coaches and media members.

Hubbard is the Coast’s second player in two years to earn the honor. D’Iberville’s Justin Walley was named Mr. Football last season.

Hubbard and the Greyhounds are undefeated and searching for the first prep football state title in school history. Hubbard has scored 50 total touchdowns this season, 30 through the air and 20 on the ground.

“(It’s an) incredible honor for Bray and his teammates,” Blake Pennock, Ocean Springs head coach, said in an interview with the Sun Herald. “He has worked incredibly hard to become the player he has become at this stage of his career. The Greyhound family is excited for Bray and look forward to him continuing his development.”
