WXXV: Jake Bramlett officially introduced as Ocean Springs head football coach

OCEAN SPRINGS — A press conference was held today to officially introduce Jake Bramlett as the Ocean Springs head football coach.

Coach Bramlett is a familiar face to the Ocean Springs community because he has served as the offensive coordinator and strength and conditioning coordinator for the past three years.

While being on staff, the Greyhound football team was crowned the Region 4 6A champions for the 2021 and 2022 seasons with Bramlett’s offense averaging 43 points per game.

Coach Bramlett says he feels beyond blessed to be in this position and he is all in for Greyhound Nation. “I could’ve never imagined being in this position that I’m at right now. All the hard work that I’ve put in, that the staff has put in, every staff I’ve ever worked with has all led up to where we are right now, and I couldn’t be more blessed and more appreciative for the opportunity they’re presenting me. I’m all in, the coaching staff is all in with me, the players are now all in, and we’re all in to win a state championship.”

Linebacker Trace Carter said, “I’m totally excited I’m not going to lie. I feel amazing. I feel like everything that we have in store for us and the ability of the stuff of the things that we can do, I feel like we’re going to have a great season.”

Defensive tackle Talan Carter said, “I sent him a big message like he just became my new coach and I’ve never seen him before, but I’m ready. I love him. I love where we’re going.”

Bramlett says he and his family are beyond excited to start this journey with an amazing school district and community.
